Mobile Eroding: Efficient and precise on-site machining

Mobile erosion is an indispensable part of modern on-site mechanical machining. wagner GmbH specializes in carrying out erosion work directly at your location. Our spark erosion technology offers the fastest, safest and most precise method for the removal of studs, broken or damaged screws as well as for precise cutting on permanently installed components, without heating the surrounding material.

Why choose spark erosion? Spark erosion is up to four times faster than traditional drilling and milling techniques and helps significantly reduce costly downtime. We manufacture all electrodes ourselves, which enables us to offer extremely fast response times and to avoid damage to the workpiece.

Spark erosion, also known as electrical discharge machining (EDM), is a thermal material removal process for electrically conductive materials that is effective regardless of hardness or strength. This process takes place in a non-conductive medium, typically deionized water, and involves electrical discharges between a specially shaped electrode and the workpiece. Through controlled spark discharges, which occur at least 100,000 times per second, the material is precisely removed at the desired location. Precise control of the intensity, frequency, duration, and polarity of the discharges enables different removal results and surface finishes without significantly increasing the ambient temperature.
