Precise cold stretching with professional nitrogen service
The nitrogen service of wagner GmbH enables, through cold expansion/cold shrink a highly precise press-fit connection of machine parts.
This method is particularly effective for the assembly of shafts, pins and other cylindrical components, whereby the workpieces are cooled in a bath of liquid nitrogen to precisely reduce their dimensions. After cooling and inserting into the corresponding components, the connection achieves the desired press-fit upon warming.
A special area of our nitrogen service is the cold stress relief of cast parts.
A nitrogen bath in the treatment of cast parts offers significant advantages; the microstructure is, as with annealing, sustainably relaxed and prepared for use at low temperatures.
Deliveries - Self Pick-up
If you want to use a specific quantity of liquid nitrogen yourself, you can pick it up from us in suitable containers.
We are also happy to fill your own container with liquid nitrogen, if you have suitable transportation options.
Of course we will instruct you in the handling of liquid nitrogen or provide you with the necessary nitrogen container.
We also, of course, perform freezing services for you.
